Alyssa Wilson, a graduate student-athlete at Texas State, took third in the women's weight throw with a third-round effort of 67-1.50 (20.46m) at the adidas Indoor Classic at the Devaney Center Indoor Track in Lincoln, Neb. Wilson, an All-American in the weight throw, shot put, discus throw and hammer throw at UCLA, is pursing a Masters degree in elementary education with a minor in criminal justice. Wilson finished behind Velaasa professional athletes Maddie Niles and Lara Borman. Wilson still ranks fourth among collegiate competitors at 73-0.50 (22.26m) this season.
